So I tried to create bigger blobs of the three colours and I think it looks a bit better although worried too much green now.

That looks a whole lot better, the feel of the camo is there with the bigger patches. Although there could be more tan visible, there is still a good amount and I would expect that to clear. Nice work with the modification.
Happiness is a warm A280. Or A300. Even a Glie-44 at a pinch.

The things to keep an eye out for with gaiters are:

5-8 eyelet pairs ideally.
Leaving a bit of boot toe uncovered, around the first 3 laces.
There are patterns that dip below the ankle, nearly to the sole, or plain tubes.

There's a nice screencap at
https://i0.wp.com/caps.pictures/198/4k- ... -19504.jpg
showing the guy bottom right. There is some talk about a strap under the foot arch but this would seem to be an option as you don't really see it when worn but there does appear to be something.

Tried to get some pictures today with the changes made to the gaiters and duster. Also took one without the duster on.

The gaiters could be a bit tighter. It looks like they may slip and present a tripping hazard the way they currently sit. Trimming maybe the lowest 30mm off, parallel to the floor might help there.

Aside from the gloves, boots and gaiters to weather, there's nothing that really stands out needing attention.

I can't see much of the pouches. I pad mine out with foam, socks, mallow sweets, etc to give them some substance and to stop them collapsing or folding. Anything within reason will do inside them although I'd avoid fish, especially if it's hot and there are porgs about. I'd move them round round to the front so they're in front of your thighs as it's a bit more comfortable. They make one's hips so much wider when they're worn out to the side.

If you add an E11 or A280 into what you have there, it meets the published standard. Other components you can add in as you go so if you sort the gloves, pouches, gaiters and add a boom stick, you could consider submitting.

Ok I’ll try shortening the bottom of the gaiters. It probably doesn’t help that there is such a big difference between my calves and ankles.

Do you have any weathering recommendations?

I have a blaster getting made for me. Just waiting on it getting finished. Glad to know that I’m getting close though.

The gloves are looking very yellow, you might want to weather them a little, possibly a little on the gaiters.

Best weathering for gloves and gaiters is digging around in grass and soil, rubbing it in all over. The gaiters look a bit light and may benefit from a soak in tea or coffee.

Thanks to the talented Stevie, I now have a blaster

I have also tried to darken the gaiters and they are a bit darker looking. Just not sure if they need to be darker before I try and weather them.

The nightmare of weathering not showing up on camera....... I think you may be asked to weather them a bit more. Have you got a pic of them close up?

Gaiters and boots can be filthy, they're great fun. Brown boot polish or acrylic paint can work on gloves or just go around and rub yourself over a few car alloy wheels for some nice glove dirt too.
