Battle arena Padme WIP

Post by AmidalaRey » Sat May 04, 2019 9:23 am

Hi all,

So I am working on padme Battle Arena costume with the cape, I have some friends who are seamstresses who are helping me out.

But I do need some help on the material for the cape, it looks to be a woolen material of some kind but me and my friends are struggling to find it.

Any advice would be helpful.

Hi Bethany, how are you getting on with this? I know the cape material is quite difficult to to source, and it might be worth looking at blankets or throws. I've seen some nice ones crop up in B&M, Home Bargains etc that look good and are purse friendly. Alternatively, you will need to look for fabric online. Definitely worth getting samples first though.

Just remember that the cape is an optional item, so you can pick if you want it or not for clearance. I have pasted below the guidelines for cape to bear in mind.

' Long, full wrapped cape in an off-white, ivory or cream thickly woven matte fabric with an obvious abstract weave, extending to mid-calf.'
